The Liberation of Czechoslovakia: Pilsen

Have you ever heard that at the end of the 2^nd World War Czechoslovakia was liberated by American and Russian army at the same time? Have you ever seen more over 200 historical war vehicles and thousands of people welcoming them with applause and flowers? Have you touched and sat in the American military tank, US navy jeep or German motorbike? Come to Pilsen to enjoy a real liberation atmosphere, because you can´t experience it anywhere else!

The West Bohemia metropolis is one of the very few cities in the Czech Republic which were liberated by the US Army. Since the Velvet Revolution, the city of Pilsen ceremonates this event by several-days long festival culminating during the weekend around 6th May. During the traditional parade of historical military vehicles you will greet saluting military veterans, visit reconstructed US military historical camp and General Patton Museum. You will be holding a German machine gun or watching a historical battle. So let´s move to the May 1945 and make Czechoslovakia free!
