Memorials in the Czech Republic: Lidice

Categories:
We haven´t heard about more sad place than this one. The memorial was built as a tribute to the village of Lidice in Czechoslovakia. In June 1942, the village was destroyed by nacis and nearly all of its citizens were killed in response to Operation Anthropoid, the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. After Adolf Hitler the name should be deleted out of the world – as a solidarity after WW2 people all around the world gave their children name Lidice. Come and breath!
